How to upload an HTML file and get a link without logging in

  1. Prepare your HTML file, folder or ZIP

Save your page as a single .html file up to 10 MB, or put index.html with your CSS, JavaScript and images into a folder or a .zip up to 25 MB (up to 100 files on the free plan). If you only have code on your clipboard, you can paste raw HTML directly.

  2. Drop it onto ship.page with no login

Drag the .html file, folder or .zip into the browser uploader, or paste your HTML. You do not need to enter an email address, create a password or add a credit card.

  3. Copy the HTTPS link or download the QR code

Your page is live in seconds on its own subdomain over HTTPS. Copy the URL to send it, or grab the PNG QR code shown on the success screen.

  4. Claim or upgrade later only if you want dashboard controls

Publish without an account, or claim the page with a free account (sign in with Google or an email link, no card) to manage it from a dashboard. If you need to update a page at the same URL or add a password, Pro is $4 a month.

What other no-account drop tools actually ask for

ship.page opens straight in the browser with no password wall and no countdown clock to create an account. You drop an HTML file, folder or ZIP, get an HTTPS link in seconds, and share it with anyone. Standard file hosts like cloud drives make people download the .html file to their device, while a link from an HTML file on ship.page renders as a live web page right away.

Other drag-and-drop tools let you start without logging in, then ask for an account right after. Netlify Drop (app.netlify.com/drop) accepts a folder, ZIP or single HTML file without signing in, but puts a temporary password on the site until you claim it with a Netlify account, and Netlify's blog notes that an unclaimed drop expires on its own. Netlify's docs also note that deploys under 50 MB work best and single files over 10 MB may get stuck.

Vercel Drop (vercel.com/drop) and Cloudflare Drop (cloudflare.com/drop) both use a 60-minute claim window. Since October 19, 2026, Vercel Drop lets you deploy a static file, folder or ZIP without an account, and those deployments expire after one hour unless you sign in and claim the project (framework projects require a signed-in account from the start). Cloudflare Drop publishes a folder, ZIP or single HTML file to a workers.dev address on Cloudflare Workers without an account to start, and you must claim the deployment within 60 minutes with a Cloudflare account to keep it.

Tip: Pick Netlify, Vercel or Cloudflare if you already want to claim the site into an account on their platform for full platform features or framework builds. Pick ship.page when you want to publish without creating an account at all.

What works in a single HTML file or ZIP

Any static frontend works out of the box. You can host a single HTML file up to 10 MB with inline CSS and JavaScript, or host a ZIP file up to 25 MB on the free plan (100 MB unpacked, up to 100 files) with images, fonts, audio, video, JSON and WebAssembly. A ZIP with a single top folder is unwrapped automatically, and index.html becomes the homepage.

Folder uploads go up as one request of at most 10 MB with the files encoded inside it (roughly 7 MB of files), so zip larger folders before uploading. File paths are case-sensitive, and files are served as they are with no Content-Encoding, so turn off .br or .gz pre-compression in your build tool. Because there is no server-side code (no PHP, Node.js, Python, database or WordPress) and no single-page-app fallback, client-side routers should use hash routes like #/about.

  • A lone PDF, image or video file is not accepted by itself; put it in a folder or ZIP with an index.html.
  • Every uploaded page sends a noindex header and is never listed publicly, so only people with the link can open it.
  • Free pages show a small Hosted on ship.page badge that visitors can close.
  • Developers who want to publish HTML without GitHub can also POST to https://ship.page/deploy with curl or use the MCP server at https://ship.page/mcp.

When to claim a free account or use Pro

Publishing needs no account, and the free plan is free forever with no ads and no bandwidth limits. You can do up to 10 deploys a minute for free. If you want to see your uploads in one place, you can claim a page with a free account using Google or an email link (no credit card). Free pages cannot be updated in place; uploading a new version creates a new link.

Pro is $4 a month (billed monthly, cancel anytime, no yearly plan) for when you need to update a live link. Pro pages do not expire while you are on Pro, or you can set a custom expiry from 60 seconds. Pro also lets you re-upload or edit a page and keep the same URL, add password protection, remove the badge, upload ZIPs up to 100 MB (400 MB unpacked) with up to 10,000 files, run 120 deploys a minute, and claim up to 5 custom subdomains like yourname.ship.place (3 to 40 characters of a-z, 0-9 and single hyphens). Neither plan offers custom domains.

Questions

Is there a free way to host an HTML file without an account?

Yes. On ship.page you can drag and drop a single .html file up to 10 MB, a folder, or a .zip up to 25 MB and get a live HTTPS link in seconds with no login, no email and no credit card. The free plan is free forever with unlimited uploads and no bandwidth limits.

Why does Netlify Drop put a password on my HTML file?

When you drop a file, folder or ZIP on Netlify Drop without signing in, Netlify places the site behind a temporary password until you claim it with a Netlify account, and unclaimed drops expire on their own. On ship.page, anonymous uploads open directly in the browser with no password required.

What happens after 60 minutes on Vercel Drop and Cloudflare Drop?

Vercel Drop lets you deploy static sites without an account, and those deployments expire after one hour unless you sign in and claim the project. Cloudflare Drop publishes to a workers.dev address without an account to start, and you must claim the deployment with a Cloudflare account within 60 minutes to keep it.

Can I upload CSS, JavaScript and images along with my HTML file?

Yes. Put your index.html and asset files in a folder or a .zip file and drop it onto ship.page. The free plan accepts ZIPs up to 25 MB (100 MB unpacked) with up to 100 files, and Pro ($4 a month) raises that to 100 MB ZIPs (400 MB unpacked) and 10,000 files.

Will search engines index the HTML file I upload?

No. Every page uploaded to ship.page is served with a noindex header so search engines leave it out, and ship.page does not list uploads anywhere public. Only people who have your link can open the page.

Can I update my HTML file later and keep the same link?

On the free plan, a page cannot be updated in place, so uploading a new file gives you a new link. On the $4 a month Pro plan, you can re-upload or edit a page and keep the exact same link, and you can also point up to 5 custom subdomains like yourname.ship.place at any of your pages.
