Publish HTML without GitHub
GitHub Pages needs a GitHub account and a repository, Netlify Drop keeps your page behind a password until you claim it with an account, and Cloudflare Pages needs an account too. With ship.page you upload an HTML file (up to 10 MB), a ZIP (up to 25 MB) or a folder and get a live link in seconds, free and with no account.
A file. A folder. A fresh start.
Your static site, one link away.
Uploading publishes your file. The link is public but unlisted, not password-protected, so leave out secrets and confidential content.
Publish in three steps, no repository needed
- Start from the files you have: an .html file, a ZIP of your site or the folder on your computer. No repository, commits or branches.
- Drop them into the uploader above, add your email address for the backup link and publish. No GitHub account and no build to wait for.
- Share the link. Your page is live on its own subdomain right away.
Or publish from the terminal with one curl
curl -X POST https://ship.page/deploy \
-H "Content-Type: text/html" \
--data-binary @index.htmlThe response is JSON with your live URL. For a folder, ZIP it and send Content-Type: application/zip instead.
What you get for free
- A live link on its own subdomain, seconds after you publish
- HTML files up to 10 MB, ZIPs up to 25 MB and 100 files
- No account and no card; claim the link for free to keep it longer
- Your files served byte for byte over HTTPS, with nothing to configure

ship.page or GitHub Pages?
GitHub Pages is free and permanent, but it needs a GitHub account and a repository (public on the free plan), and every change goes through a commit and a Pages build. It fits a site that already lives in a repository and should stay up for years.
ship.page is for getting a link now: no account, no repository, no git. Paid plans add pages with no expiry, a fixed URL you can redeploy to and password protection.
What works on the page
Static files only: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts and PDFs. JavaScript runs in the visitor's browser, including libraries loaded from a CDN. Server-side code doesn't: no PHP, no Node, no database, no WordPress. If the page works when you open it from your own disk, it works here.
Questions
Can I publish an HTML page without GitHub?
Yes. Upload the HTML file, a ZIP or the folder above, add your email address and publish. You get a live link in seconds, with no GitHub account, repository or git involved.
Is this a GitHub Pages alternative?
For sharing a page quickly, yes: no account, no repository and no build step. For a site that should stay online for years at a fixed address, use a paid plan here or stay with GitHub Pages.
Is it free?
It's free forever and there's no account. The uploader asks for an email address only to send you a backup link for claiming the page later. No password, no credit card, no limit on uploads.
Can I update the page later?
A free link always shows the version you uploaded; upload again to get a new link. Paid named deployments replace the page at the same URL on every upload, from the dashboard, the API or the GitHub Action.
Can I use my own domain?
Using your own domain name isn't supported. Every page gets its own unguessable subdomain with HTTPS, and the Team plan ($19 a month) adds one vanity subdomain of your choice (3 to 20 characters).
How long does the link stay live?
Publish without an account. Claim the page with a free account (no card) and it stays online as long as you keep it. Pro pages never expire and can be updated without changing the link.
