AI-MADE PAGE, SHAREABLE LINK

Share an AI-generated website as a link

Save what the AI gave you as index.html (or download its ZIP), drop it on ship.page or paste the code, and copy a live link with no account or credit card. The free forever plan takes single HTML files up to 10 MB, ZIPs up to 25 MB (100 MB unpacked) and up to 100 files per upload, with unlimited uploads and a live HTTPS URL in seconds.

How to turn AI code into a link you can send

  1. Copy the HTML or download the files from your AI chat

If the AI gave you one block of HTML, copy the code or save it as index.html. If it gave you multiple files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images), put them in one folder or a ZIP with index.html as the homepage.

  2. Drop the file on ship.page or paste the code

Open ship.page in your browser. Drag in your .html file, .zip file or folder, or paste the raw HTML directly into the uploader. A ZIP with a single top folder is unwrapped automatically.

  3. Copy the live HTTPS link or download the QR code

Your page is live in seconds on its own subdomain with no signup. Copy the URL to send to a friend, client or teacher, or download the PNG QR code shown on the success screen.

  4. Claim the page with a free account to keep it online

You can publish without an account. Claim it later with a free account using Google or an email link, with no credit card needed, and it stays online as long as you keep it.

Why you cannot just send an .html file in a chat or email

When you attach an index.html file in an email, Slack message or school portal, the other person's phone or browser often shows raw code or blocks the scripts for security. If your project has separate CSS, JavaScript or image files, sending the HTML file alone breaks the layout and pictures.

Hosting the files gives you a normal HTTPS web address. When you turn HTML code into a website on ship.page, anyone with the link can open it on a phone, tablet or laptop without downloading anything.

When to pick ship.page vs Netlify Drop, Vercel Drop or GitHub Pages

ship.page fits best when you want a working link right now with no login. You can paste HTML or drop a file, folder or ZIP and immediately send the URL to a teacher or teammate. Every uploaded page includes a noindex header so search engines leave it out, and ship.page does not list uploads anywhere public.

Netlify Drop (app.netlify.com/drop) also accepts a folder, ZIP or single HTML file without signing in first, and deploys under 50 MB work best (single files over 10 MB may get stuck). However, a site dropped without signing in stays behind a temporary password until you claim it with a Netlify account, and an unclaimed drop expires on its own. Vercel Drop (vercel.com/drop) deploys a static file, folder or ZIP from the browser with no account since October 19, 2026, but unclaimed deployments expire after one hour, and framework projects require a signed-in account.

Pick GitHub Pages if you want a custom domain or have a site up to 1 GB (with a 100 GB monthly soft bandwidth limit and 10 builds an hour). You will need a GitHub account and a public repository on GitHub Free, and it is not allowed as free hosting for a commercial, e-commerce or SaaS business.

Watch out for multi-page links and client-side routing

AI tools often generate React or single-page apps that use client-side routes like /about. On ship.page, clicking to /about works after a visitor starts on the home page, but opening or refreshing /about directly returns a 404 because there is no single-page-app fallback and no custom 404 page.

Ask the AI to use hash routes like /#/about instead. Hash routes always work on static hosts without server rewrites. If you need every path rewritten to index.html, use Netlify, Cloudflare Pages or Vercel.

  • A file saved as about.html opens at /about.html.
  • A short URL like /about only works when the file is saved at about/index.html.
  • File paths are case-sensitive, so Hero.png and hero.png are treated as different files.
  • A lone PDF, image or video is not accepted by itself; put it in a folder or ZIP with an index.html file.

Tip: If your folder has more than roughly 7 MB of files (a folder upload goes up as one encoded request of at most 10 MB), compress it into a .zip file before uploading.

Updating your link and keeping pages online with Pro

On the free plan, you can publish a ChatGPT website as many times as you like with no bandwidth limits and up to 10 deploys a minute. Free pages cannot be updated in place, so uploading a new version gives you a new link, and free pages show a small "Hosted on ship.page" badge that visitors can close.

Upgrade to Pro for $4 a month (billed monthly, cancel anytime) when you need to update the same link. Pro pages never expire (or you can pick any expiry from 60 seconds), and the badge is removed. You also get password protection, up to 5 custom subdomains like yourname.ship.place, ZIP uploads up to 100 MB (400 MB unpacked), 10,000 files per upload and 120 deploys a minute.

Questions

How do I share an HTML website I made with ChatGPT or Claude?

Copy the HTML code from the chat or save it as index.html, open ship.page, and paste the code or drag the file in. You get a live HTTPS link and a downloadable QR code in seconds with no signup and no credit card.

Can my teacher or client open the link without creating an account?

Yes. Anyone who has your ship.page link can open it directly in their browser on any device. Unlike an unclaimed Netlify Drop, there is no temporary password blocking visitors.

What files can I upload from an AI coding tool?

You can paste HTML or upload .html files up to 10 MB, folders up to 10 MB total request size, or .zip files up to 25 MB (100 MB unpacked, up to 100 files) on the free plan. Static files like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts, audio, video, WebAssembly and JSON all work, while server code like PHP, Node.js, Python or databases is not supported.

What happens if I ask the AI to fix a bug and want to update my link?

On the free plan, uploading the fixed file creates a new link. On the $4 a month Pro plan, you can re-upload or edit a page and keep the exact same link, or point one of up to 5 custom subdomains (like yourname.ship.place) at any page you own.

Will search engines index the AI website I share?

No. Every uploaded page is served with a noindex header so search engines leave it out, and ship.page never lists uploads publicly. Only people who have your link can view the page, and Pro lets you add a password.
