Uploading publishes your file. The link is public but unlisted, not password-protected, so leave out secrets and confidential content.

From HTML files to a live website

  1. Put the site in one folder, with the homepage named index.html. Keep your CSS, JavaScript, images and other pages in that folder and link them with relative paths.
  2. Drop the folder, a ZIP of it or a single HTML file into the uploader above. Add your email address for the backup link and publish.
  3. Open the link. Your site is live on its own subdomain, with every page and file where you put it. Share it with anyone.

Or upload a zipped site with curl

curl -X POST https://ship.page/deploy \
  -H "Content-Type: application/zip" \
  --data-binary @site.zip

The index.html at the root of the ZIP becomes the homepage. The response is JSON with your live URL.

What a free website includes

  • Multi-page sites: every HTML page in the folder gets its own URL
  • Relative links, stylesheets, scripts, images and fonts resolve like they do on your disk
  • ZIPs up to 25 MiB and 100 files (100 MiB unpacked), folders up to 10 MiB
  • 30 days online without an account; claim the site for free to keep it for 90 days
  • HTTPS on its own subdomain, with nothing to configure

Getting the folder right

The file named index.html at the top of the folder or ZIP becomes the homepage. Other files keep their paths, so about.html opens at /about.html.

Use relative links such as css/style.css or images/logo.png. Links that point at C:\ or /Users/ only work on your own computer.

What runs on the site

Static files only: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts and PDFs. JavaScript runs in the visitor's browser, including libraries loaded from a CDN. Server-side code doesn't: no PHP, no Node, no database, no WordPress. If the page works when you open it from your own disk, it works here.

Contact forms need a form service or their own backend; the page itself loads and runs either way.

When 30 days isn't enough

Paid plans keep sites online with no expiry, redeploy new versions to the same URL, add password protection and raise ZIP limits to 100 MiB and 900 files per upload.

Questions

How do I turn HTML files into a website?

Upload them here: a single HTML file, a ZIP of your site or the whole folder. You get a live website on its own link within seconds, with no server, hosting account or domain to set up.

Can I host a website with several pages?

Yes. Upload the folder or a ZIP of it with index.html at the top. Every page and file keeps its path, so the links between your pages work like they do on your computer.

Do I need a domain name?

No. Every upload gets its own unguessable subdomain with HTTPS. Team plans add vanity hostnames.

Is it free?

It's free and there's no account. The uploader asks for an email address only to send you a backup link for claiming the page later. No password, no credit card.

Will my site show up on Google?

No. Uploaded sites ask search engines not to index them and there's no public directory, so people reach your site through the link you share. A site that should rank in search belongs on your own hosting.

Does PHP or WordPress work?

No. Only static files run: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images and fonts. If your site builder can export a static version, upload that.
