A file. A folder. A fresh start.
Your static site, one link away.
Uploading publishes your file. The link is public but unlisted, not password-protected, so leave out secrets and confidential content.

How to publish your AI website in under a minute
Ask the AI for a single index.html or a ZIP
Copy the HTML, CSS and JavaScript from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini and save it as index.html, or download the ZIP or folder the AI gave you. If you just want to paste code without saving a file, copy the raw HTML directly.
Drop the file, ZIP or folder on ship.page
Open ship.page in your browser and drag in your index.html, .zip file or folder, or paste your HTML into the editor. You do not need an account or a credit card.
Copy your live HTTPS link or QR code
Your site goes live in seconds on its own subdomain over HTTPS, and the success screen gives you a shareable link plus a downloadable PNG QR code. You can claim the page later with a free account (Google or email link, no card) and it stays online as long as you keep it.
Free ways to host a static website generated by AI
| Route | Account | Steps | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| ship.page | None required (optional free claim) | Paste HTML or drop file, folder or ZIP | Instant public link with no login or visitor password |
| Netlify Drop | Needed to remove visitor password | Drop folder, ZIP or HTML at app.netlify.com/drop | Sites that need a Netlify account workflow later |
| Vercel Drop | Optional for 1 hour; required to keep | Drop file, folder or ZIP at vercel.com/drop | Quick 1-hour preview or moving into a Vercel account |
| GitHub Pages | Required (GitHub Free account) | Create public repo, commit files, enable Pages | Open-source projects up to 1 GB or custom domains |
Which free host fits your AI-generated site
A website made by ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini is almost always static HTML, CSS and JavaScript, so any static host can serve it. If you want a public link right now without creating an account, ship.page is the fastest path: drop your file or paste raw HTML code and anyone with the link can open it immediately. Free uploads take a single HTML file up to 10 MB, a folder up to 10 MB total request size (roughly 7 MB of files), or a ZIP up to 25 MB (100 MB unpacked) with up to 100 files and 10 deploys a minute.
Other drag-and-drop tools add restrictions when you do not sign in. Netlify Drop (app.netlify.com/drop) accepts a folder, ZIP or single HTML file without an account, works best for deploys under 50 MB (single files over 10 MB may get stuck), and publishes files as-is with no build step, but an unclaimed site stays behind a temporary visitor password and expires on its own until you claim it with a Netlify account. Vercel Drop (vercel.com/drop) lets you drop a static file, folder or ZIP with no Git or CLI, and since October 19, 2026 works without an account, but anonymous deployments expire after one hour unless you sign in and claim the project (framework projects always require signing in).
Choose GitHub Pages when you need a custom domain or up to 1 GB of storage and do not mind setting up a public GitHub repository. GitHub Pages is free on GitHub Free with a 100 GB monthly soft bandwidth limit and 10 builds an hour, though it cannot be used as free hosting for a commercial, e-commerce or SaaS business. Multi-page AI sites, folders and client-side routing
When your AI gives you multiple files, make sure the main page is named index.html and keep matching uppercase and lowercase letters in your file links because file paths are case-sensitive. If your AI zipped the project inside a single top-level folder, ship.page unwraps that folder automatically so index.html becomes the homepage. For extra pages, save them as about.html (which opens at /about.html) or place them inside a subfolder like about/index.html so visitors can open the shorter /about/ address.
If the AI built a single-page app in React or Vue that changes the URL in the browser, tell the AI to use hash routes like #/about instead of path routes like /about. On ship.page, a client-side route like /about works after a visitor starts on the home page, but refreshing or opening /about directly returns a 404 because there is no single-page-app fallback. If you cannot change the app to hash routes, use Netlify, Cloudflare Pages or Vercel, which can rewrite every path back to index.html.
- Static files only: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts, audio, video, JSON and WebAssembly all work.
- No server code: PHP, Node.js, Python, databases and WordPress do not run here.
- Contact forms: connect your HTML form to a third-party form service since there is no backend.
- Privacy by default: every upload sends a noindex header so search engines do not list it, and ship.page never lists uploads publicly.
- Pre-compressed builds: files are served as-is with no Content-Encoding header, so turn off .br or .gz compression or include a JavaScript decompressor.
Tip: If youonly have a PDF, image or video, wrap it in a folder or ZIP alongside an index.html file, since the uploader does not accept lone media files.
Updating your site and keeping the same link
On the free plan, you can publish without an account and claim your upload with a free account (sign in with Google or an email link, no card required) and it stays online as long as you keep it. Free pages cannot be edited in place: uploading a new version after you publish a ChatGPT website creates a brand-new link, and free pages display a small Hosted on ship.page badge that visitors can close.
If you iterate with your AI and want to replace the files while keeping the exact same URL, Pro is $4 a month (billed monthly, cancel anytime, no yearly plan). Pro pages never expire (or you can pick any custom expiry starting from 60 seconds), hide the badge, add password protection, and raise limits to 100 MB ZIPs (400 MB unpacked), 10,000 files per upload and 120 deploys a minute. Pro also gives you up to 5 custom subdomains like yourname.ship.place (3 to 40 characters of a-z, 0-9 and single hyphens) that you can point at any of your pages and move anytime, while developers on any plan can automate uploads via curl (POST https://ship.page/deploy), the MCP server at https://ship.page/mcp, or the GitHub Action.
Questions
How do I host an AI-generated website for free with no account?
Save the code from ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini as index.html (or keep its ZIP file), open ship.page, and drag the file in or paste the raw HTML. You get a live HTTPS link and QR code in seconds with no signup and no credit card.
Can ship.page host a multi-file website with CSS, JavaScript and images?
Yes. Put your index.html, stylesheets, scripts and images in a folder (up to about 7 MB of files in a 10 MB request) or a ZIP file up to 25 MB (100 MB unpacked, up to 100 files on the free plan) and drop it onto ship.page.
Why does my AI website show a 404 when I refresh a subpage?
ship.page serves static files directly and does not have a single-page-app fallback rewrite. Either put each page in its own folder as folder/index.html, link to file names like about.html, or ask your AI to switch client-side routing to hash routes like /#/about.
How is ship.page different from Netlify Drop and Vercel Drop for anonymous uploads?
On ship.page, an upload without an account is immediately viewable by anyone with the link. On Netlify Drop, an unclaimed upload stays behind a temporary password until you create a Netlify account, and on Vercel Drop an anonymous static deployment expires after one hour unless you sign in.
Can I connect a custom domain to my AI website?
ship.page does not support custom domains on any plan, though Pro ($4 a month) includes up to 5 transferable custom subdomains like yourname.ship.place. If you need your own .com domain for free, use GitHub Pages, Netlify, Cloudflare Pages or Vercel.
