Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of ship.page, operated by Bitgate, Inc. ("we"). By deploying a drop, creating an account, or paying for a plan, you accept them. They are written to be read — no defined-terms gymnastics.

The service

ship.page lets you upload HTML and supporting files (a "drop") and serves that content on a generated subdomain of shipped.run. Anyone can deploy without an account. Some features — named drops, password protection, longer or no expiry, appending files, vanity subdomains — require a paid plan and an account.

Accounts and API keys

Accounts are created by signing in with Google, Apple, or GitHub (via Firebase). API keys are shown once at minting and stored only as a hash — if you lose a key, mint a new one. You are responsible for everything deployed with your keys, so treat them like passwords and revoke them when they leak.

Billing

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed through Stripe. You can cancel any time from the customer portal; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where the law says otherwise. Drops keep the lifetime configured when they were deployed — canceling a plan does not retroactively expire your existing drops, but you lose the ability to create new paid-tier drops.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you deploy. You grant us the rights needed to store, serve, and distribute it to the people you share the URL with — that is the entire service. You must have the right to publish whatever you upload, and you are solely responsible for it. We do not review drops before they go live.

Acceptable use

Do not use ship.page for:

• phishing, credential harvesting, or impersonating a service you don't operate;
• distributing malware or linking to it;
• child sexual abuse material — reported to the relevant authorities, not just removed;
• doxxing or publishing someone's private data;
• content that infringes others' rights or is otherwise illegal;
• search-engine spam farms and parasite SEO;
• attacking, probing, or overloading the service, or evading limits, takedowns, or plan restrictions.

Unprotected drops are readable by anyone with the URL. Password protection gates future access, but cannot recall content already downloaded, copied, or cached while public. Reuploading does not invalidate old downloads. Neither feature exempts content from our acceptable-use rules. The full policy and reporting path live at Abuse & takedown.

Takedown and termination

We may remove any drop or terminate any account at our discretion, with or without notice. A removed drop answers 451 on every path and does not come back. Repeat abuse forfeits the account — including its subscription, named drops, and vanity subdomain — without refund.

Expiry and retention

The service is ephemeral by design. Anonymous drops expire after 30 days, then stay offline but privately claimable by token for 30 more days before their row and files are deleted. Signed-in free drops expire after at most 90 days; owned files are retained for 90 days after expiry, but free accounts can restore only during the first 30 days. Paid drops can be configured without expiry and can be restored throughout the 90-day retention window, but we make no promise of permanent retention and keep no backups for you. Keep your own copies of anything you care about.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We aim for reliability but offer no uptime guarantee or SLA.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost data, or lost business — arising from the service. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date below tracks that. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
