Shipping…

Uploading publishes your file. The link is public but unlisted, not password-protected, so leave out secrets and confidential content.

Host your website for free in three steps

  1. Put the site in one folder, with the homepage named index.html and the CSS, JavaScript, images and other pages next to it.
  2. Drop the folder, a ZIP of it or a single HTML file into the uploader above. Add your email address for the backup link and publish.
  3. Your site is live on its own HTTPS subdomain. Share the link; every page and file keeps its path.

Or deploy a zipped site with one curl

curl -X POST https://ship.page/deploy \
  -H "Content-Type: application/zip" \
  --data-binary @site.zip

The index.html at the root of the ZIP becomes the homepage. The response is JSON with your live URL.

How it compares to other free hosts

GitHub Pages, Netlify, Cloudflare Pages and Vercel have free plans too. They suit a long-lived site you keep updating, but each needs an account before your site is public, and GitHub Pages also needs a repository.

ship.page puts the files you already have online right now, with nothing to sign up for. Paid plans add sites with no expiry, redeploys to the same URL and password protection, from $4 a month.

What runs on the site

Static files only: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts and PDFs. JavaScript runs in the visitor's browser, including libraries loaded from a CDN. Server-side code doesn't: no PHP, no Node, no database, no WordPress. If the page works when you open it from your own disk, it works here.

Contact forms need a form service or their own backend; the page itself loads and runs either way.

Questions

Is the website hosting really free?

Yes. Uploading and hosting are free, with no account and no card. The uploader asks for an email address only to send you a backup link for claiming the site later. Paid plans start at $4 a month for sites that never expire.

How long does a free website stay online?

Free links stay live for 30 days. Claim the page with a free login to keep it for 90 days from claiming. Paid plans keep pages online with no expiry.

Can I host a website with several pages?

Yes. Upload the folder or a ZIP of it with index.html at the top. Every page and file keeps its path, so the links between your pages work like they do on your computer.

Do I need a domain name?

No. Every site gets its own unguessable subdomain with HTTPS. Team plans add vanity hostnames, and a fully custom domain is a paid feature.

Can I host WordPress, PHP or a database?

No. Only static files run: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts and PDFs. If your site builder can export a static version, upload that.

Will my site show up on Google?

No. Uploaded sites ask search engines not to index them and there's no public directory, so people reach your site through the link you share. A site that should rank in search belongs on your own hosting.

Who can see my site?

Anyone who has the link. The URL is unguessable, pages ask search engines not to index them and there's no public list of uploads, but free pages aren't password-protected. Leave out passwords and private data; paid plans add password protection.
