How to make and send an HTML love page in four steps
Get your romantic HTML code
Copy the prompt on this page into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to generate a complete page, or grab the HTML code you already saved from a video.
Paste the code or drop your file on ship.page
Open ship.page in your browser and paste the HTML directly, or drag in an .html file up to 10 MB. You do not need an account or a credit card.
Include photos with a folder or ZIP
If your love page uses photos or music from your device, name your main file index.html, put it in a folder with those files, and drag the folder (up to roughly 7 MB of files) or a .zip up to 25 MB onto ship.page.
Send the live link or print the QR code
Your page goes live in seconds on its own HTTPS subdomain. Copy the link into a text message, or download the PNG QR code from the success screen to slip inside a paper card.
Prompt to generate a romantic HTML page in ChatGPT
Prompt
Write a complete, mobile-first romantic one-page site for [name] as a single self-contained index.html file with all CSS and JavaScript inline. Include: 1) an opening screen with a tap-to-open envelope addressed to [name], 2) an "Our story" section with [number] short moments: [describe your moments and dates], 3) subtle floating hearts animated in pure CSS, and 4) a final question asking "[your question, e.g., Will you be my Valentine?]" with a "Yes" button that reveals the message "[your final note]" and a "No" button that moves to a random spot on the screen whenever it is tapped or hovered. Use warm colors, clean typography, and smooth transitions so it works on a phone screen.
Replace every bracketed part with your own names, moments, and message before pasting the prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.

Why not send the .html file directly in a chat?
When you send a raw .html file through a chat app, it arrives as a file attachment to download, not a web page. On many phones, tapping that attachment shows the raw code as plain text, or opens the page without its scripts and animations.
When you turn HTML code into a website on ship.page, the code is published as it is on a real HTTPS address. Your partner taps the link and sees the envelope, the floating hearts, and the moving buttons right inside their phone browser, without downloading anything or figuring out how to open an HTML file.
How do I add my own photos and music?
Pasted HTML is published as it is, so it cannot pull in photos that sit only on your phone or computer. A lone image, video, or audio file is not accepted by the uploader on its own.
To include personal photos or a song, save your code as index.html inside a folder alongside your image or audio files, and reference them with matching relative names like photo1.jpg. Remember that file paths are case-sensitive, so Photo1.JPG and photo1.jpg count as different files.
- Single HTML file: up to 10 MB on every plan.
- Folder upload: goes up as one request of at most 10 MB with the files encoded inside it (roughly 7 MB of files).
- ZIP upload: up to 25 MB (100 MB unpacked) and 100 files on the free plan, or 100 MB (400 MB unpacked) and 10,000 files on Pro.
- Static files supported: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts, audio, video, WebAssembly, and JSON.
Tip: If your folder of photos is larger than roughly 7 MB, compress it into a .zip file before uploading; a ZIP with a single top folder is unwrapped automatically.
Is a love page private, and how long does the link last?
Every uploaded page is sent with a noindex header, so search engines leave it out of search results, and ship.page does not list uploads anywhere public. Anyone who has the link can open it, and the success screen also gives you a website QR code you can download as a PNG.
A free upload without an account stays online for 30 days, and if you sign in with Google or an email link to claim it, it stays online for 90 days. Free pages show a small "Hosted on ship.page" badge that your partner can close, and they cannot be updated in place; uploading a fixed version gives you a new link.
- Pro ($4 a month, cancel anytime): pages never expire, or you can pick any expiry from 60 seconds.
- Password protection on Pro: lock the page so only someone with the password can read your letter.
- Keep the same link on Pro: edit a typo or add new anniversary moments and re-upload without changing the URL.
- No badge on Pro and Team ($19 a month, which also adds a vanity subdomain).
Tip: See pricing if you want to lock your anniversary website with a password or keep the same link online forever, or add a countdown page for an upcoming date.
Questions
How do I send HTML love code to my girlfriend or boyfriend?
Copy the HTML code, paste it into ship.page, and copy the live HTTPS link that appears in seconds. Send that link in any text or chat app so it opens right in their phone browser with all animations working, instead of arriving as a file attachment.
Is it free to make a love website on ship.page?
Yes, publishing a page is free with no account and no credit card. Your link stays online for 30 days, or you can sign in with Google or an email link to claim the upload and keep it online for 90 days.
Can I put a password on my love page?
Password protection is included on the Pro plan for $4 a month, billed monthly, cancel anytime. Pro also removes the small Hosted on ship.page badge, lets you update the page while keeping the same link, and keeps your page online forever.
Will search engines find my love letter page?
No, every page uploaded to ship.page is served with a noindex header so search engines leave it out, and ship.page never lists uploads in a public directory. Anyone with the link can open it unless you add a password on the Pro plan.
Why did my photos not show up when I pasted the HTML code?
Pasted HTML only contains the text of your code, not the image files stored on your device. Put your index.html file and your photos into one folder, check that the file names match with exact uppercase and lowercase letters, and upload the folder or a ZIP file.
Can I fix a typo after I send the link?
On the free plan, a page cannot be updated in place, so uploading a corrected file gives you a brand new link. On the $4 a month Pro plan, you can edit or re-upload your page and keep the exact same link.
