How to publish a static site with no account on ship.page
Prepare your HTML, folder or ZIP
Make sure your project has an index.html file as the homepage. You can upload a single .html file up to 10 MB, a folder (up to roughly 7 MB of files), or a .zip file up to 25 MB that unpacks to 100 MB or less.
Drop your files into the browser
Open ship.page and drag your file, ZIP or folder onto the upload box, or paste raw HTML. No account or credit card is needed, and a ZIP with a single top folder is unwrapped automatically.
Share your live HTTPS link
Your site goes live in seconds on its own subdomain with a downloadable PNG QR code. You can claim the page with a free account (using Google or an email link, no card) to manage it from a dashboard.

What are the Cloudflare Pages free tier limits?
Cloudflare Pages offers the most generous free plan for a production static site you plan to keep long term, provided you are fine creating a Cloudflare account. Every free account gets unlimited bandwidth, sites served at name.pages.dev, and up to 100 custom domains per project.
Note that Cloudflare's documentation now suggests starting new projects on Cloudflare Workers rather than Pages. If you still choose Pages, your project must stay within its file and build quotas.
- Builds: 500 builds per month when connected to a Git repository.
- Maximum files per site: 20,000 files when deployed with the wrangler command line.
- Dashboard Direct Upload limit: 1,000 files per drag-and-drop upload in the browser.
- Maximum single file size: 25 MiB per individual file.
- Custom domains: Up to 100 custom domains per project.
- Bandwidth: No bandwidth quota on the free tier.
Tip: Read our full Cloudflare Pages comparison to see how both platforms handle deployments.
How do Direct Upload and Cloudflare Drop work?
If you do not want to connect a Git account, Cloudflare Pages has a Direct Upload option in the dashboard, though it still requires a Cloudflare account. Dragging a folder or ZIP into the dashboard caps your project at 1,000 files of 25 MiB each, while the wrangler command line tool supports the full 20,000-file limit.
Cloudflare also runs Cloudflare Drop at cloudflare.com/drop, which runs on Cloudflare Workers rather than Pages. It takes a folder, ZIP or single HTML file with no account to start and publishes it on a workers.dev address, but you must claim the deployment within 60 minutes with a Cloudflare account to keep it online.
When should you use ship.page instead?
Use Cloudflare Pages when you have a Cloudflare account, want to connect a custom domain, or have up to 20,000 files. Use ship.page when you want instant hosting with no signup, or when you do not want a 60-minute timer forcing you to create an account.
On ship.page, the free plan is free forever with no ads, unlimited uploads and no bandwidth limits. You can host a ZIP file up to 25 MB (100 MB unpacked) with up to 100 files, or a single HTML file up to 10 MB, and every uploaded page includes a noindex header so search engines leave it out.
If you need to update a page in place without changing the link, ship.page Pro is $4 a month (billed monthly, cancel anytime). Pro pages don't expire while you're on Pro, remove the closable badge, allow password protection, add up to 5 custom subdomains like yourname.ship.place, and raise the limits to 100 MB ZIPs (400 MB unpacked) and 10,000 files.
- Static files only: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts, audio, video, WebAssembly and JSON.
- No server code: PHP, Node.js, Python, databases and WordPress are not supported.
- Routing: A page saved as about.html opens at /about.html; use about/index.html for /about, or hash routes (#/about) for single-page apps.
- Automation: Publish from your terminal with one curl command to POST https://ship.page/deploy, the MCP server, or the GitHub Action.
Questions
What is the Cloudflare Pages 25 MiB limit?
Each individual file on the Cloudflare Pages free plan cannot exceed 25 MiB. If you have a video or bundle larger than 25 MiB, the deployment will fail.
How many files can I upload to Cloudflare Pages for free?
A Cloudflare Pages site can have up to 20,000 files when deployed through Git or the wrangler command line tool. If you use Direct Upload by dragging files into the Cloudflare dashboard, the limit is 1,000 files.
Can I use Cloudflare Pages without an account?
No, both Git deployments and Direct Upload in Cloudflare Pages require a Cloudflare account. Cloudflare Drop (which runs on Workers) lets you upload without an account, but you must claim the link with a Cloudflare account within 60 minutes to keep it.
How can I host a static website for free without signing up?
Go to ship.page and drag in an HTML file up to 10 MB, a folder, or a ZIP file up to 25 MB (100 MB unpacked) with up to 100 files. You get a live HTTPS link in seconds with no account and no credit card.
Does ship.page support custom domains like Cloudflare Pages?
No, ship.page does not offer custom domains on any plan, so Cloudflare Pages is the better pick when you need your own domain. The $4 a month ship.page Pro plan includes up to 5 custom subdomains on ship.place, such as yourname.ship.place.
