Best free hosting for a website you made with AI
ship.page is the fastest free host for an AI-generated website because you can paste HTML or drop a file, folder or ZIP in the browser with no signup and no credit card, or publish straight from ChatGPT and Claude through its MCP server. The free forever plan takes HTML files up to 10 MB, ZIPs up to 25 MB (100 MB unpacked) and up to 100 files per upload, and puts your site live in seconds.
A file. A folder. A fresh start.
Your static site, one link away.
Uploading publishes your file. The link is public but unlisted, not password-protected, so leave out secrets and confidential content.

How to publish your AI website on ship.page
Ask your AI for a static site or single HTML file
Have ChatGPT, Claude or your coding tool output either one self-contained index.html file or a folder with index.html at the top alongside your CSS, JavaScript and images. If you are still building, read how to make a website with AI.
Drop the file, folder or ZIP into ship.page
Open ship.page and drag in your .html file (up to 10 MB), a folder (up to roughly 7 MB of files in a 10 MB request) or a .zip file (up to 25 MB, 100 MB unpacked, up to 100 files on free). You can also paste raw HTML straight from your chat window.
Share the live HTTPS link or QR code
Your site goes live in seconds on its own subdomain over HTTPS, and the success screen gives you a QR code with a PNG download. You can publish without an account, or claim the page with a free account (no card) to manage it from a dashboard.
Your options
ship.page
- Best for
- Publishing AI-generated HTML, folders or ZIPs in seconds with no account, or straight from ChatGPT and Claude via MCP.
- Free
- Free forever with unlimited uploads, no bandwidth limits, HTML files up to 10 MB, ZIPs up to 25 MB (100 MB unpacked) and 100 files per upload.
- Catch
- Static files only, no custom domains, and client-side routers must use hash routes like #/about because there is no single-page-app fallback.
Netlify Drop
- Best for
- Dragging in a static folder or ZIP when you plan to claim it with a Netlify account and want path rewrites.
- Free
- Takes a folder, ZIP or single HTML file with no account to start; deploys under 50 MB work best and single files over 10 MB may get stuck.
- Catch
- A site dropped without signing in stays behind a temporary password and expires on its own unless you claim it with a Netlify account.
Vercel Drop
- Best for
- Quick browser drops of a static file, folder or ZIP, or framework projects when you already have a Vercel account.
- Free
- Static sites deploy without an account; a claimed Vercel Hobby account is $0 with 100 GB of fast data transfer, 1,000,000 CDN requests a month and 100 deployments a day.
- Catch
- Unclaimed static drops expire after one hour unless you sign in, framework projects require an account, and Hobby is restricted to personal, non-commercial use (Pro starts at $20 a month).
Cloudflare Pages
- Best for
- Larger sites that need a custom domain, up to 20,000 files, and unlimited bandwidth on a signed-in account.
- Free
- Free plan includes 500 builds a month, up to 20,000 files per site (1,000 via dashboard drag-and-drop), 25 MiB per file, 100 custom domains per project and no bandwidth quota.
- Catch
- Requires a Cloudflare account before you can upload, and Cloudflare's docs now suggest starting new projects on Workers.
GitHub Pages
- Best for
- Developers who already keep their AI-generated code in a public GitHub repository and want a custom domain.
- Free
- Free for public repositories on GitHub Free, with published sites up to 1 GB at owner.github.io, a 100 GB monthly soft bandwidth limit and 10 builds an hour.
- Catch
- Requires a GitHub account and a public repository, and is not allowed as free hosting for a commercial, e-commerce or SaaS business.

Which free host fits the site your AI built
Most pages from ChatGPT or Claude are a single HTML file or a small folder of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. ship.page is built for that exact output: you paste the code or drop the files with no signup, or connect the MCP server at https://ship.page/mcp so your AI assistant publishes the link for you. See the dedicated guides to publish a ChatGPT website or publish a Claude Artifact.
If you want to drop a folder without creating an account first, watch the fine print on the other browser drop tools. Netlify Drop puts an unclaimed upload behind a temporary password until you sign in and claim it, and unclaimed drops expire on their own. Vercel Drop lets you drop a static site without an account (since October 19, 2026), but that deployment expires after one hour unless you sign in and claim the project.
Pick Cloudflare Pages, Vercel or GitHub Pages when you need a custom domain or a build step for a framework project. Cloudflare Pages gives you 100 custom domains per project and up to 20,000 files via the wrangler CLI (1,000 by dashboard drag and drop). GitHub Pages hosts public repositories up to 1 GB for free, as long as the site is not for a commercial, e-commerce or SaaS business.
Watch out for single-page-app routing on AI sites
Coding tools that generate React, Vue or Vite apps often set up client-side routing with paths like /about. On ship.page, clicking to /about works after a visitor starts on the home page, but opening or refreshing /about directly returns a 404 because there is no single-page-app fallback and no custom 404 page.
You have two easy fixes when you host a vibe-coded app. Tell your AI to switch the router to hash routes so links look like /#/about, or ask it to generate real files at about.html (which opens at /about.html) or about/index.html (which opens at /about/).
If you must keep clean client-side paths like /about without creating separate HTML files, use Netlify, Cloudflare Pages or Vercel. All three can rewrite every path back to index.html.
Tip: Before uploading a multi-page AI site to ship.page, check that your main page is named index.html (lowercase, because file paths are case-sensitive).
What ship.page supports and when to upgrade to Pro
Every ship.page plan serves static files only: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images, fonts, audio, video, WebAssembly and JSON. There is no server code (no PHP, Node.js, Python, database or WordPress), so contact forms need a third-party form service, and pre-compressed .br or .gz builds need compression turned off or a JavaScript decompressor. Every uploaded page is sent with a noindex header and is never listed publicly, so only people with the link can open it.
On the free plan, a page cannot be updated in place; uploading a new version gives you a new link, and pages show a small "Hosted on ship.page" badge that visitors can close. Pro is $4 a month (billed monthly, cancel anytime) and lets you re-upload or edit a page while keeping the same link, removes the badge, and adds password protection. Pro pages don't expire while you're on Pro (or you can pick any expiry from 60 seconds), raise limits to 100 MB ZIPs (400 MB unpacked) and 10,000 files, and include up to 5 custom subdomains like yourname.ship.place.
- Browser uploader accepts .html files, .zip files, folders and pasted HTML (put a lone PDF, image or video inside a folder or ZIP with an index.html).
- ZIPs with a single top-level folder are unwrapped automatically so index.html becomes the homepage.
- Automate deploys with one curl command (POST https://ship.page/deploy), the MCP server at https://ship.page/mcp, or the GitHub Action.
Questions
Where can I host a website I made with ChatGPT or Claude for free?
You can host it on ship.page for free with no signup and no credit card by pasting the HTML or dragging in your .html file, folder or .zip file. Your site is live in seconds on its own HTTPS subdomain, or you can connect https://ship.page/mcp so ChatGPT or Claude publishes it directly.
Can I host an AI-generated website without creating an account?
Yes, ship.page publishes your site immediately with no account and no temporary password. Netlify Drop and Vercel Drop also accept uploads without signing in first, but Netlify puts unclaimed sites behind a temporary password and Vercel expires unclaimed static drops after one hour.
What are the file size limits on ship.page's free plan?
The free forever plan accepts a single HTML file up to 10 MB, a ZIP up to 25 MB (100 MB unpacked), and up to 100 files per upload at 10 deploys a minute. Folder uploads go up as a single request of at most 10 MB (roughly 7 MB of files), so zip larger folders first.
Why do subpages like /about give a 404 error on my AI React app?
ship.page serves static files as they are and does not have a single-page-app fallback that rewrites unknown paths to index.html. Ask your AI to use hash routes like /#/about, create a file at about/index.html, or host on Netlify, Cloudflare Pages or Vercel if you need path rewrites.
Which free AI website host lets me use a custom domain?
ship.page does not offer custom domains on any plan, though Pro ($4 a month) includes up to 5 custom subdomains like yourname.ship.place. For your own domain on a free plan, use Cloudflare Pages (up to 100 custom domains per project) or GitHub Pages.
